クレーコートでの練習も3日目になるとバウンドにも慣れて来て良い質のラリーが多く見られるようになってきた。ビッグショットは当然必要だが基本のラリー力がなくては次に進まない。クロスとストレートの打ち分けの質を上げる練習に多くの時間を割いた。
午後はTennis Europe の大会のあるPecsに移動した。車での移動は高速道路がないところなので小さな町を通りながらの長閑なハンガリーを味わえる2時間ほどのドライブだった。
Pecsは2000年もの歴史のある古い町だそうだ。子供たちにとってまた良い経験になっている。予約をしているアパートのオーナーと町はずれで待ち合わせをして町の真ん中になる家に案内して貰った。宿はアパートは町の中心にある広場で観光目的なら最高の場所に位置している。観光などのテニス以外での経験は子供たちにとって凄く大切な事だ。その意味でもPecsは良い経験になりそうだ。
夕食時、明日からまた頑張ると選手たちは気合いを入れていた。
It was third day since we had been here. Everybody was getting used to the bounce on the clay courts. It was really important to make a big shotbut at the same time the good rally was also important as well.
Late afternoon we had a little journey to Pecs from Siofok. It was a nice 2 hour trip going thru the country side.
Pecs was a town which had history of 2000 years. We stayed right in the center of the city where the tourist were visiting and walking around. It was nice for the kids to look around the old city while they play tournaments.
In Pecs we were going to play Tennis Europe U14 which start on Wednesday.
It was a good day!!
